New Hampshire Telephone Museum is visiting us on Tuesday, July 9th, at 2 p.m. with a fun program all about sounds! This program can only accommodate 25 children, so please sign up at the library, message us on Facebook, or call or email to register your child.

Summer reading sign-ups begin next week on June 17th. We are very happy that all our programs can take place in the library this summer due to the installation of new, more efficient and environmentally friendly air conditioning. The project was made possible by a grant from the Association for Rural & Small Libraries through the generosity of the Manton Foundation. We cannot thank the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL) enough for allowing us to provide a cool and comfortable environment for all of Allenstown this summer!
The library will be closed on Monday, May 27th, in honor of Memorial Day.
Thanks to our Children’s Literacy Foundation Rural Library Grant, we are able to provide passes to Squam Lakes Natural Science Center! The Library Membership pass is valid for up to four tickets at the member rate of $13 per ticket (half off the regular price!) for Allenstown Public Library patrons per day during the 2024 trail season (May 1-November 1).
If you would like a pass, contact us by phone at 603-485-7651, email at allenstownlib@comcast.net, Facebook, or in person. You need to know what date you want the pass for. We can email passes to you, but you must be able to print them out and bring the paper pass to the science center. We are more than happy to print them out for you at the library!
