The March meeting will be 3/28/19 at 4:00 p.m.
It’s almost time for Summer Reading sign-ups! This year’s theme is On Your Mark, Get Set, Read! On Friday, June 17 come see us and sign up for an awesome program this summer! We have so many prizes and performers this year, we can’t even list them all! When you have signed up, grab some sidewalk chalk on our patio and decorate it with pictures of your favorite sport, sports team, etc. in our Chalk the Walk event. We can’t wait to see you!
The library will be closed tomorrow as we will have no water because of upgrades to the water mains on Main Street. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We will be open again on Tuesday, May 24, at 10AM.
When you come to see us, make sure you buy a raffle calendar to benefit the new Suncook Senior Center. You can buy a raffle calendar at the circulation desk. And say “hello” to our bear Miss Daisy! Click on the photo below for more information.
Did you know that we have a Friends of the Library group? They are always looking for new members, so if you love your library, have ideas for fundraising, and are willing to be an advocate for the library consider joining the group. Get more information on their Facebook page-Friends of the Allenstown Public Library. Or click on the tab above this post. Everyone who joins gets a book bag and bumper sticker. You gotta have friends!
Snow way are you going to want to miss Night of Holiday Lights on December Twelfth! Come out and celebrate with us from 5PM-7:30PM. We will have a Hot Chocolate Bar where you can dress up a warm cup of cocoa with whipped cream, flavored syrups, chocolate chips and more! And don’t have a meltdown, because kids can make a terrific snowman ornament before they leave. There’s snow better way to spend an evening than in Allenstown at Night of Holiday Lights!
The library will be closed this Thursday and Friday, November 26 and November 27 for Thanksgiving. Gobble up some good books along with your Thanksgiving dinner and stop in next week when we will be back to our regular hours.
It’s almost Halloween! Come in to visit us and ask about our candy corn contest! Try to guess how many kernels of candy corn are in the mason jar at our circulation desk. Think you’re good at guessing? You could win a fun Halloween prize! And we will be announcing the winner at our first ever Trick-or-Treat at the Library on Friday, October 30 from 3-5PM. Put on your favorite costume and creep, float or slither your way to the library where we will be reading some Halloween stories. Then decorate a sugar cookie to take home as a treat! We hope to see you there! It should be a spooky time!
