The next meeting of the library trustees will be Thursday, April 24, 2014, 3:30pm in the library.  The public is welcome to attend.

As we rejoin the Downloadable Books program, we have the opportunity to expand it, but the funding would likely come from our traditional (paper) books budget. Should we invest more of our book budget in downloadable books/movies, to buy more downloadable titles?  If more and more people are reading digitally, do we respond to that preference with more funding in that area?  It’s your tax dollars, so I want to hear from you.

Check out our new collection of books to help kids cope. Published by the American Psychological Association, topics include ADHD, anger, perfectionism, anxiety and mindfulness/meditation. They can be read with kids or kids can read them on their own. Check out our Goodreads page to read reviews.

Due to the impending storm, the library will be closing at 2pm today. Stop by to pick up some books and DVDs to keep you busy while you ride out the storm.

I have been trying to locate tax forms for the library to distribute to the public, but I am having little luck with the IRS.  If you need tax forms, you have a few options:

-Go to www.IRS.gov to download forms and print them out.  Printing at the library is $.50 a page, but if requested, we can print duplex.

-If you made less than $58,000 last year, you may be eligible to file free online.  Please see http://www.irs.gov/uac/Free-File:-Do-Your-Federal-Taxes-for-Free for details.

-If you would like to order paper tax forms, please call the IRS at 1-800-829-3676 to order up tp 10 different forms.  You can also order up to 10 forms online at http://www.irs.gov/uac/Forms-and-Publications-by-U.S.-Mail.  According to the website, please allow 7-15 business days for delivery.
