This month’s Spice Club pick is Tajín. This iconic Mexican seasoning is a delightful and unique blend of mild chili peppers, zesty lime, and sea salt. Tajín is more about a tangy, savory zest than intense heat, making it incredibly versatile. It’s famously delicious, sprinkled over fresh fruits like mango, watermelon, and pineapple, and adds a perfect zing to vegetables such as cucumber and corn on the cob. Each kit comes with two adorable bottles of the spice. Stop in and get one while they last!
We are so thrilled to to announce that the Allenstown Public Library has been awarded The 2025 Sustainable & Resilient New England Libraries Grant!
We will use the funds to repair and repave our parking lot and to surround it with native plants that will help naturally manage water runoff.
This project is made possible by a grant from the Association for Rural & Small Libraries through the generosity of the Manton Foundation.

The library is hosting a Saturday Crafternoon on April 26th for adults only. You will be making a set of 4 coasters decorated with dried flowers. There is only room for 10 people, so you must register by calling, messaging us on Facebook, emailing, or visiting the library in person.
April’s Spice Kit is Roasted Garlic Powder! You might be familiar with regular garlic powder, but roasted garlic powder is a game-changer. It has a much sweeter, milder, and almost caramelized flavor compared to the sharper, more pungent taste of regular garlic powder. It’s perfect for adding a subtle depth to your dishes. Come check out our spice kits and elevate your cooking!
This might be my all-time favorite craft, and I’m sure it will go quickly! Stop in to pick up a Baby Yoda Pod Craft while they are available!
