The Allenstown’s book club will be reading your choice of two literary fiction titles for Black History Month. “Harlem Rhapsody” by Victoria Christopher Murray, a story based on the life of Jesse Redmond Fauset, an African American female literary editor for the NAACP publication, The Crisis or “The House of Eve” by Sadeqa Johnson, a story of two women from different backgrounds, a young mother who wants to be the first in her family to attend college and a woman who has ambitions of marrying an elite Howard University grad.
